ON TRACK

I'm on a mission of many missions, to surround myself with more like-minded and ambitious people.

In my previous post, I mentioned finding a remedy for any unhappiness we have in our lives. Lately, maybe for the past year or so, I've been feeling really unmotivated and stagnant in my career-- an aspect of my life I highly value. My drive, ambition, and passion have decided to play hide and seek and I have been constantly trying to find a way to rev my spirit and life up again. It was like running life on an empty tank. I kept wondering why this had happened and after some pondering, I've come to a conclusion that it was due to my environment; people, specifically.

A majority of my good friends who have big aspirations all moved back to their international homes due to the complex and ruthless American visa system. It wasn't until most of them left that I realized the impact it would have on my own passion and aspirations. I got way too comfortable with the lack of shared and inspiring dialogue of our dreams, goals and doings, which was once a constant in my life. There's a saying about how your current state is a reflection of the 5 people you spend most of your time with. Honestly, looking back, I can't express how much truth is in that expression. Not that the people around me now are negative influences-- they're great and all sorts of amazing, but the energy of my core 5 just isn't the same as it once was.

So, to help get up from this slump, I made a list of people who I want to reconnect with, build a stronger connection, and get to know more. The process of creating new relationships and reconnecting with people has been so refreshing and to feel that strong positive energy again has been exciting and up-lifting. I look forward to what the future holds!

On a lighter note, I'm obsessed with these tear-away pants from Aritzia! It's such a 90’s throwback and every time I slip them on, they give off these TLC vibes, which are the best vibes to ever evoke. Not only are they comfortable and cool, but they're flattering and make my legs look 10,000 miles longer, which is never a bad thing.
